We generate clean electric energy out of the most available and renewable source – Sun. Reducing annual greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 14,100 tons per annum (CO2 equivalent), the project reduces reliance on fossil fuels and other non-renewable energy sources. On Solar Farm 13 000 photovoltaic modules are installed, the project site is approximately 5 hectares. Currently the Stage 1 of the project is commissioned and put into operation providing the opportunity to supply energy to the grid and therefore feed the households of the nearby region. Stage 2 expansion is planned for year 2018 to reach the total installed power of the station 3.0MW. The Stage 2 of the project is designed to use single-axis tracking technology. This technology allows solar panels to tilt in the direction of the sun as it crosses the sky, maximizing the total energy generated and the effectiveness and efficiency of each of the panels.
